HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—Henrico County Police have charged 29-year-old Lemonn Benjamin Hill in connection with multiple hotel and motel robberies in the area.

Last month six hotels and motels in the county were robbed by a suspect who claimed to have a weapon in his possession and made demands in a note to employees. He fled on foot with undisclosed amounts of cash in five of these instances. The same suspect is also thought to have robbed a motel in the Town of Ashland on Sept. 26 and a commercial business in Hanover County on Sept. 27.

On Oct. 2, Henrico detectives witnessed the suspect driving a vehicle that matched the description of that used in the Ashland robbery. They stopped him at Cox Road and Innslake Drive.

Hill, of 1500 N. 21st St. in Henrico, has been charged with robbery, attempted robbery and two counts of the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony in Henrico County—the incidents on the 400 block of International Center Drive and the 5200 block of Williamsburg Road. He was also charged with robbery and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony in Hanover County—the incident occurred in the 10100 block of Lewiston Road. Warrants for robbery are pending in the Town of Ashland.

Henrico Police continue to investigate the motel robberies that occurred on the 5200 block of Brook Road, the 5400 block of Williamsburg Road, the 9000 block of Brook Road and the 900 block of East Parham Road.
