‘Spice’ Seized From 2 Hopewell Convenience Stores

HOPEWELL, VA— A drug bust at two Hopewell convenience stores has landed five people in trouble with the law.

Police say store owners and managers at the Cigarette City on Cavalier Square and the Golden Express on 15th Avenue were selling the synthetic drug known as spice.

The drug was being sold in small packages labeled “incense,” police said.

The following have been charged with distribution of synthetic cannabinoids:

James Petery, age 69 of Prince George County
Gayla Petery age 63 of Prince George County
Sohail Panjwani, age 42 of Richmond
Imran Panjwani, age 30 of Richmond
Sulaiman Panjwani, age 40 of Richmond

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Hopewell/Prince George Crime Solvers at 541-2202.
