Richmond Police Seek 3 Suspects After VCU Robbery

RICHMOND, VA—Police are stepping up
patrols after three men robbed a man on VCU's campus early Wednesday morning.

It happened around 12:45
a.m. on West Main Street
near Monroe Park.

Police say the victim was
walking down Main Street
when he was cutoff by a man on a bike.

A second man then grabbed
the victim from behind, and, along with a third man, demanded the victim hand
over money, police said.

The two suspects on foot
fled East on West Main Street,
and the suspect on the bike fled South on Belvidere Street, police said.

No weapons were displayed
during the incident, and one was injured.

Both Richmond and VCU Police are increasing
patrols in the area following the incident.
