VDOT: Interstates, Primary Roads Clear

Release from Virginia Department of Transportation:

CULPEPER – With sun and above-freezing temperatures assisting snow-removal
efforts, all major highways in Central Virginia, including Interstate 64 and
I-66, are clear of snow and ice this morning. The secondary roads in the
Virginia Department of Transportation's Culpeper District have been plowed and
are clear or have only minor patches of snow and slush remaining.

VDOT crews are working with utility companies on some secondary roads to
clear trees that are tangled with power lines. Other crews are removing fallen
trees and other debris from road shoulders where they were pushed during
yesterday's storm.

While road conditions are good today motorists should be aware that
temperatures will fall below freezing during the night on Thursday. As
temperatures drop any water remaining on the roads will likely freeze and create
black ice early Friday morning, especially on bridges, crossovers, ramps and
turn lanes.

Residents and motorists are
reminded that they can report downed trees or other maintenance issues by
calling VDOT's Customer Service Center at 1-800-367-ROAD
