Tim Wronka joined 8News in December 2012. He is a news reporter, and also helps the sports department with shooting games and fill-in anchoring.
Tim graduated from Florida State University in 2008. After school, he worked for NewsTalk AM 820 in Tampa, Florida as a news and traffic reporter. In 2009, he moved to Miami to work for Metro Networks, where he reported news and traffic on radio and TV stations across the state of Florida. He also flew in Metro's helicopter, shooting video for Miami's local TV stations.
In 2011, Tim moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia as a reporter for WHSV-TV 3, the local ABC station. He also co-anchored their 10:00 newscast every night.
Tim grew up in East Hanover, New Jersey near NYC. His family now lives in Tampa, FL, so that's where he considers home. However, he's enjoying life in RVA! Tim loves all sports, especially college football. He also enjoys movies, reading and spending time with friends and family.
