I-95 Lanes Closures In Richmond Today, Friday

RICHMOND, VA—Drivers should expect some delays Thursday night into early Friday if they're traveling along I-95 in Richmond.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will close travel lanes to complete road work.

 

Lanes closures and delays announced by VDOT:

Jan. 3 (Thursday)

I-95 south (Richmond) – From 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., the right lane will be closed on I-95 south between Laburnum Avenue (mile marker 79) and Lombardy Street (mile marker 77) for ongoing work to the bridges over Sherwood Avenue and Robin Hood Road. Expect delays.

I-95 north (Richmond) – From 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, the left and center lanes will be closed on I-95 north between Belvidere Street (mile marker 76) and Boulevard (mile marker 78) for bridge deck work. From 7 p.m.-6 a.m., the ramp from Boulevard to I-95 north will be closed to remove debris and relocate materials. Use alternate route. Expect major delays along I-95. Use I-295, Route 288 and the Downtown Expressway (toll)/I-195 to bypass the construction.
