12 Injured, 2 Critically, In Chesterfield Accident

CHESTERFIELD, VA—Twelve people were injured, two of them critically, after a medical van transporting patients with special needs was struck by a sports utility vehicle in Chesterfield early Thursday evening.

Two people, the driver and a passenger in the SUV, suffered serious injuries. Ten others, all occupants in the van, suffered minor injuries.

It happened at the intersection of Hopkins and Kingsland Roads.

Video of the crash show a red SUV running a stop signs and hitting the side a medical van.
