RICHMOND, VA—Two public meetings, discussing the proposed Redskins Training Camp site, will be held Tuesday.
The meetings will be held at the Richmond City Hall located at 5801 Bremo Road.
The first meeting will get underway at 4:00 p.m. and will run until 5:30 p.m. A second meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.
Last week, Richmond's City Council endorsed the proposed deal moving the Washington Redskins' training camp from Northern Virginia to the city.
Although endorsing the deal, the council has yet to officially approve the specifics of the plan.
City officials and Bon Secours Health Systems announced the proposed deal in October. The camp would be located on 17 acres of state property behind the Science Museum of Virginia.
Bon Secours would build a $6.4 million sports medicine facility over the next 10 years that the team would use during the three-week camp.
More than a dozen residents voiced opposition to the resolution before it was approved by the Richmond City Council. Residents questioned the deal's economics and what they called a lack of transparency.
