Police Chase Follows Henrico Hotel Shooting

One person was injured in a hotel shooting which ended with a police chase in Henrico County's west end.

Police responded to a hotel in the 7800 block of Shrader Road for a report of shots being fired. Officers saw two vehicles leaving the scene. One stopped for officers, the other fled the area.

A pursuit ensued. The vehicle eventually crashed at the intersection of West Broad Street and Glenside Drive. The driver fled on foot, but was soon taken into custody by officers on Interstate 64.

Back at the hotel, one victim was found suffering from a gun shot wound. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Police have not identified any of the parties involved in the incident. It is unknown yet if the driver of the fleeing vehicle is responsible for the shooting.
