Virginia Gubernatorial Hopefuls On Energy Panel

RICHMOND, VA. (AP) – Three potential Virginia gubernatorial candidates will be staking out their views on a range of energy issues during a forum in Richmond.

The three will be part of a panel Thursday as the Governor's Conference on Energy completes its three-day run in Richmond. The panel will include two GOP contenders for their party's nomination for governor, Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, and Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

Also participating in the forum will be Virginia's secretary of natural resources, Doug Domenech, and state Sens. Frank Wagner and Emmett Hanger. Industry representatives will also participate in the forum.

The forum is expected to take up the issues of offshore energy, the rising price of gasoline, the so-called war on coal and green energy.
