Robbery Reported Near VCU’s Campus

RICHMOND, VA—Richmond Police are searching for two suspects after a man reported being robbed near VCU's campus Wednesday morning.

It happened around 12:32 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of West Clay and Harrison Streets.

The victim told police he was approached by two suspects as he walked northbound on Harrison Street just north of Marshall Street.

One of the suspects pushed the victim against a nearby wall while demanding the victim's headphones.

The suspects made off with Beats audio headphones, an iPod and the victim's wallet.

The two suspects were last seen running northbound on Harrison Street toward I-95.

No weapons were displayed during the robbery. Richmond Police and VCU said they have increased police patrols in the area.
