CreateAthon At VCU Announces Non-Profit Recipients

The gift giving came early for twelve local non-profit organizations. Selected from over 40 applicants, twelve non-profits will receive pro bono marketing services, such as logos, brochures, websites, and social media strategy, from VCU students in the School of Mass Communications. Professor Peyton Rowe created the class as a way to “provide real-world experience to students interested in non-profit advertising.” Today, CreateAthon at VCU announced the winners of its 5th annual CreateAthon at VCU, which include:

● Area Congregations Together in Service (ACTS)

● CARES, Inc.

● Chamberlayne Actors Theatre

● Greater Richmond Bar Foundation

● Rebuilding Together Richmond (RTR)

● Richmond Giving Circle

Students will be joined by local professionals to complete and present the requested projects during the 24-hour event.
