Champagne Punch

CHAMPAGNE PUNCH
about 30 punch-cup servings

  • 2 (6-ounce) cans or 1 (12-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • Ice water
  • 1/4 cup cognac or brandy
  • 1/4 cup Cointreau or other orange liqueur
  • 1 freezer tray of ice cubes
  • 1 (4/5-quart) bottle champagne, chilled
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and each cut in half lengthwise

In a large chilled punch bowl, combine lemonade concentrate and ice water according to can label directions.  Add cognac and Cointreau, mixing thoroughly.  Just before serving, add ice cubes and champagne; float strawberries in the punch.
